What is the power grid connection process?
The power grid connection process (or “expediente de acometida” in Spanish) refers to the procedures necessary to connect an electrical installation to the electrical power grid.
The power grid connection must be managed with the distribution company in your area. Although the user can contact the company to initiate the process, the procedure is complex and it is recommended that the installation or management company take care of it.

- Start with the request to the electrical power grid in the geographical area where the supply point is located.
- Review the estimates for the installation, which should include a breakdown of the type of work to be carried out and the price charged for it.
- Provide the documentation required by the distributor.
- Supervise the work done to make the connection.
- Monitor the end of the work and keep all the documentation accrediting the same, together with the Electrical Installation Certificate.
